The suburb of Kelston is centrally placed, handy to Titirangi village, the beaches, and the commercial centres of New Lynn and Henderson. Queen Street, the heart of Auckland City, is only 20 minutes away by bus or train.
Opportunities for sport and recreation abound. There is a local cinema complex, ten pin bowling, libraries, cafes and shopping centres.
About Kelston Girls' College
Kelston Girls' began life in 1954 as a school for girls and boys. It grew so rapidly that by 1959 the students were segregated on separate campuses and in 1963 Kelston Girls' was officially established.
Kelston Girls' is the only Waitakere City State Girls' School. It has a strong tradition of excellence in academic, cultural and sporting endeavours of which students, staff and alumni are justifiably proud. The original wooden panelled corridors of the school remain, but much else has changed.
