The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) is the premiere film school in the region. Here, we aim to give our students specialized and focused training, which is at par with international standards.
IAFT aspires to cultivate skilled filmmakers through hands-on immersion and workshop programs with mentors from Hollywood and other film capitals in the world; producing the next generation cinema professional by incorporating new technologies and processes with lasting, solid ideologies.
The school works in tandem with its parent company, Bigfoot Entertainment, and, through its shared resources and knowledge, students can get to practice what they have learned in actual projects for actual clients.

One-Year Immersion in Filmmaking
IAFT offers courses that combine theory and application training under expert Hollywood filmmakers serving as faculty mentors. The school extends a comprehensive, hands-on approach to making films and videos using the latest in equipment and technology. Courses are designed for aspiring filmmakers as well as industry professionals looking to advance their skills and add to their knowledge.
The One-Year Immersion Program consist of five (5) nine-week terms that include courses on cinematography, editing, directing, screenwriting, producing, filmmaking, sound design and other electives.
Selected IAFT students also enter a distinct internship program that allows them to work on feature films and TV productions with Bigfoot Entertainment. Our curriculum serves to nurture the creativity and talents of each student and instill them with real-world feel of the international film industry.

One-Year Immersion in Acting
The School of Acting seeks to be competitive with theater, acting, performing art academies and workshops across the world. The curriculum is based on a model that combines theory, training and performance, while utilizing state-of-the-art technology and synergy with our filmmaking program.
Like the filmmaking program, the one-year immersion in acting consists of five (5) nine-week terms. The curriculum allows students to have a well-rounded experience and the opportunity to take additional courses based on their particular area of interest.
In their fourth term, students will begin rehearsals on their student projects, develop their acting reels and work as an intern for Bigfoot Entertainment or a local TV station, film production or theater company. Their final term will be dedicated to carefully selecting, rehearsing and performing their final project.
The final project will be a one-act play that is produced and directed by the student, who will also act in it. In addition they will be required to make a demo or voice-over reel.

Short-Term Workshops
IAFT also offers short-term workshops in a wide-range of topics throughout the year. Its diverse curriculum, ranging from screenwriting, acting and directing courses to specialized programs for Final Cut Pro and CGI, allows you to reach for your dreams without the burden of a heavy schedule.
The aim of IAFT workshops is to provide flexible, quality film education. Thusly, schedules are diverse, ranging from one-night classes to month-long crash courses during summer break.

In addition, IAFT will also be running in conjunction with Fashion TV’s model school and will offer courses such as modern runway techniques and the like.
Accommodation
IAFT provides the option for students to stay in our Casablanca Gardens apartment compound, which has up to 68 furnished rooms (either single or double occupancy), a kitchen and lounge area complete with Wi-Fi.
Casablanca Gardens is a home away from home for IAFT's student body. Situated conveniently next to the administration building at the Mactan Island campus, the Casablanca Gardens has comfortable rooms equipped with a common kitchen and lounge area. In order to provide our students with additional safety, the Gardens also have guards on patrol.
Students may choose a shared or private room, either of which comes with an attached bathroom. If students have a roommate preference, they can request a roommate on the housing form. For the request to be granted, both students will need to submit a request form.
Housing at the Casablanca Gardens is affordable, allowing students to take advantage of its proximity to the school and easy access to the rest of Mactan.
Location
Bigfoot Entertainment is located at the heart of Lapu-Lapu city. It is approximately 10 minutes away from the provincial airport and less than 30 minutes away from the city proper.
We strongly believe that a place so steeped in history and filled with cultural sights and landmarks can help inspire the best out of our students. We trust that students can greatly appreciate and benefit from the laidback and warm Cebuano atmosphere, which can help develop refreshing ideas and insights for their next great project.
Because of this, we have made Learn Cebu, a course that allows students an opportunity to become familiar with the island and the Cebuano culture, an integral part of our academic programs. This will be a great tool to help students transition into the new environment and assist them in becoming familiar with the province their future location needs.

Facilities
The school’s self-contained premises are furnished with the latest facilities and equipments, such as wireless Internet network in all the buildings, an Automated Dialogue Replacement studio, a Foley studio and two sound stages. Sound Stage 1 is rated NC-24, the first true sound proof sound stage in the Philippines, while Sound Stage 2 boasts a massive floor space of 1,340 square meters.
